The Online Resources Business Card Payments product provides a full range of
bill payment services - from one-time payments to multiple types of scheduled
payments to timely alerts - to meet your customer's needs.
Bill Payment Set Up
The customer initiates the online payment process by setting up profiles
of their funding sources. The system will store information for one or
more funding accounts per user - checking or savings - and check both
the format and validity of the bank routing number against a database
from Thomson Financial.
Payment Information
The customer can see a summary of payment information when making a payment.
That information includes: current account balance, last statement balance,
minimum amount due, past due amount, and the payment due date.
One-Time Payments
The customer can automatically select from the minimum balance due, the
current account balance, or enter an amount of their choice. They can
then request that the payment be made "today" or at a future
date. If the customer does not want to act now, they can set up an alert
that will notify them online or by email a designated number of days before
the payment is due.
Scheduled Payments
A scheduled payment can be based on the current balance or minimum amount
due, and can be set for either the due date or a fixed date that the customer
specifies.
Payment Center
The system can present all historical payment transactions whether completed,
pending or scheduled to recur. The customer has the option to cancel or
edit any pending payments. Customers can also download their history of
posted payments.
Alerts
An easy-to-use set-up page allows customers to request that they be alerted
when a payment has been posted, enter their email address, and choose
text or HTML format for delivery. If the customer has set up a scheduled
payment, he can also request that he be notified a specific number of
days before the payment is processed.
Online Resources supports all industry standards payment file formats
(e.g. ACH). Based on your needs, we can also integrate with a payment
processing system that you already have
in place.
